Overview

Amanda is Deputy Head of School Education and Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise Lead at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. She is an internationally recognised expert in luxury marketing and branding, with professional experience across luxury property, hospitality, and fashion. 

Her career combines global commercial insight with academic leadership. She has designed and led courses that connect students directly with industry practice, including the BA (Hons) Luxury Brand Management degree. Her teaching prepares graduates for careers with international luxury brands. She also focuses on boosting student employability and creating authentic luxury experiences that resonate with diverse global audiences. 

She is the author of Luxury and the Senses (Bloomsbury) and contributes to international research on luxury retail environments, cross-cultural consumer insights, and sensory marketing. Alongside her academic work, she acts as an external examiner and a consultant. Her consultancy work involves advising on luxury marketing strategy, digital innovation, and customer experience enhancement.
